Pussy Riot have issued a new video which finds the band thanking their supporters and burning a picture of Putin.
Pussy Riot’s explosive entry onto the global stage, their trial and subsequent jail sentence has been impossible to ignore. The punk band found widespread support, with the likes of Bjork, Sir Paul McCartney and more voicing their concern over the case.
Three members were recently sentenced to jail, with several more fleeing Russia. Now the band have issued a new video, which finds Pussy Riot thanking their followers for the support they have received.
Shouting to their supporters, the band yet “Thank you Madonna! Thank you Red Hot Chili Peppers!” before burning a picture of Putin.
It might not go down well in the Kremlin but it definitely brought smiles to our faces…
