New R. Stevie Moore documentary ‘I Am A Genius (And There’s Nothing I Can Do About It)’ is available to stream online now.
R. Stevie Moore is often difficult to describe. After all, lo-fi or home recording isn’t really a genre so much as an approach, an attempt to find your own sound on your own terms.
If that’s the case, then R. Stevie Moore has certainly succeeded in this. Amassing an enormous back catalogue, the American artist has enjoyed a breakthrough of late enjoying press coverage and the Tim Burgess curated compilation ‘Lo Fi Hi Fives’.
French film-maker Arnaud Mauget and French band Hifiklub recently paired off to work on a documentary about R. Stevie Moore, with ‘I Am A Genius (And There’s Nothing I Can Do About It)’ set to be released later this year.
Now The Wire have pointed out that the film is available to stream in its entirety online. Watch the documentary below.
