Striking a blow for dear old Blighty, Kid British are set to release another blast of tuneful indie pop when ‘Sunny Days’ hits the shelves on April 20th.
With the credit crunch hovering over your shoulder and the Spring rain soaking through your trainers, there’s a lot to be unhappy about. Kid British are giving the nation a reason to smile, however, with their jovial brand of street smart pop.
Debut release ‘Leave London’ was a limited edition EP and was full of outspoken bravado that recalled pop heavyweights Blur and those nutty boys from Madness.
Currently completing their debut album ‘Are You Alright?’ the band are set to be the main support on The Enemy’s forthcoming epic tour of the UK.
A sizzling live act the band recently played a whistlestop tour of London, stopping off on a number of tube platforms. In fact, the band even bumped into London Mayor Boris Johnson, who was serenaded by the hotly tipped act.
With the album set to drop in June, Kid British could well become the sound of a traditional British summer. Until then, though, we can enjoy ‘Sunny Days’.
