Hayley Williams has shared a new cover of Phoebe Bridgers song 'Smoke Signals'.
The Paramore singer and solo artist is currently on lockdown, but decided to share something with fans.
Revealing that she "woke up today a lil heavy", Hayley explains: "didn’t know why, just some days are like that. but then realized i am inextricably connected to my friend (Lindsey Byrnes) who’s sweet father just passed away. one of her favs is Phoebe Bridgers so this self-serenade is actually for her since i can’t hang with her or hug her tight. check on your friends and send them your love."
Hayley adds: "and also, this is just a perfect song…"
Well, she's not wrong there – a highlight on Bridgers' debut LP 'Stranger In The Alps' it's given a straight forward, faithful, and moving rendering.
