Foo Fighters have decided to serenade members of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church.
Famously the nicest man in rock, Dave Grohl remains a top bloke. Recently throwing out a fan from a London show for starting the fight, the drummer turned frontman revealed that he is not to be messed with.
Unveiling a viral video for their upcoming North American tour, Foo Fighters decided to camp it up. ‘Hot Buns’ featured the band dressed as truckers, cavorting in the shower in a homo-erotic style.
Controversial Christian group Westboro Baptist Church caught wind of the video, and announced plans to picket their shows. Issuing a statement, the group said: “These people have a platform and should be using it to encourage obedience to God; instead they teach every person who will listen all things contrary to him: fornication, adultery, idolatry, fags.”
Oh dear. Not ones to suffer this kind of thing, Foo Fighters decided to take action into their own hands. The band hired an open top truck, and drove up to one of the church’s picket lines.
Dave Grohl led the band through a new country and western number called ‘Keep In Clean’ before throwing in a speech about how ‘it takes all types’.
Just when we thought he couldn’t get any cooler… watch the footage below.
