David Byrne and St. Vincent have posted the video for new track ‘Who’.
On paper an enthralling collaboration, David Byrne and St. Vincent waltzed into the studio earlier this year. Pairing a legendary talent with a precocious young songwriter, the resulting album is a work of typically vivid imagination.
‘Love This Giant’ is set to be released on Monday (September 10th) and the signs are that David Byrne and St. Vincent have delivered something very special indeed.
Clash writer Anna Wilson was definitely impressed, summing up the album thus: “It’s expansive, moreish and muscular, artsy and avant-garde. Basically, pretty much what Talking Heads would sound like if they were around right now; intelligent, urbane and instantly catchy. This is quirky, jazzy, smart and sassy, a sophisticated album without an inch of fat.”
