Emerging from a period of seclusion, Chan Marshall has lost none of her ability to break hearts. Out now, Cat Power’s new album ‘Sun’ is a wonderfully rich document containing some of her most ambitious songwriting yet.
Album cut ‘Cherokee’ emerged ahead of its release, with Nicolas Jaar providing a remix. Now a video for the track has been placed online, directly by Chan Marshall herself.
Focussing on a post-Apocalyptic landscape, the central character must escape survivalists and zombie-like creatures while being tortured by memories of the past. Check out the clip for ‘Cherokee’ below.

In addition to this, Cat Power has also confirmed plans for a one off UK show. Part of a wider European tour, the singer will take her live band to historic London venue the Roundhouse on 12th.
