Arctic Monkeys have unveiled the black and white video for their brand new track ‘R U Mine?’
On paper, Arctic Monkeys could never break America. Huge in the UK, the band’s music is too rooted in their hometown of Sheffield to ever truly translate to a global stage…
Or could it? Recently, Arctic Monkeys have been finding success in the States with their tours reaching larger and larger audiences. Booking a slot with The Black Keys, the Sheffield group just might be in with a shout.
Promising to release a new track to coincide with their most recent American tour, Arctic Monkeys dropped ‘R U Min?e’ yesterday (February 27th).
Available to download on iTunes, the track comes equipped with a grainy black and white video. The clip shows Arctic Monkeys driving through Los Angeles as ‘R U Mine?’ makes its debut on KROQ.
Definitely geared towards our Stateside cousins, this might – just might – mark the point where American falls for Arctic Monkeys.
