Washed Out Confirms New Album ‘Paracosm’

Listen to a teaser...

Washed Out is set to release his second album 'Paracosm' through Weird World on August 12th.

Real name Ernest Greene, Washed Out first reached a wider audience through the whirlpool of the short-lived chillwave buzz. However right from the start it was clear that the Atlanta producer was still finding his own sound, moving through different styles to perfect his own voice.

It's a process which is still ongoing. Returning with his second album, the producer will release 'Paracosm' on August 12th. Named after a phenomenon in which the brain concocts vast imaginary worlds, the album finds Washed Out using an expanded template.

In particular, Ernest Greene has amassed a large collection of vintage keyboards including a mellotron. An early form of synthesiser, the mellotron underpinned numerous classic psychedelic cuts, including The Beatles' 'Strawberry Fields Forever'.

Adding a lush, almost psychedelic side to Washed Out's work, a new trailer is definitely raising hopes for an expansive return from the Atlanta producer.
