Out this week, and in aid of the homeless charity Shelter, is a cover of Heaven 17’s ‘Temptation’ by the unlikely duo of Jarvis Cocker and The Gossip’s Beth Ditto.
The song, recorded at an awards ceremony in 2007, is out this week as an audio and video download on iTunes with all proceeds going to Shelter.
Speaking about the collaboration, Jarvis Cocker said “It has taken a full twelve months for the world to be ready for this track – I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed performing it.”
Shelter chief executive Adam Sampson added “We are delighted that two of the hottest names in the music business are donating the profits from this single to us. By downloading ‘Temptation’ you’ll not only get a great track, but you’ll be raising money to help homeless and badly housed people across Britain.”
