'New Song' is online now...

Warpaint are set to release new album 'Heads Up' on September 23rd.

The American group broke cover a few moments ago, following a 12 month period primarily spent focussing on solo projects.

The material on 'Heads Up' was recorded at House on The Hill studio in downtown LA, their home studios and Papap’s Palace, with the band tending to work apart.

Drummer Stella Mozgawa explains: "The doors were a little more open in terms of what was accepted and what wasn’t, because we were sharing ideas so rapidly between us".

Jenny Lee Lindberg adds: "Everybody was allowed to have their space, time and creative freedom with songs and figure out, ‘I wonder what the best notes would be? I wonder what the best would be to play? Everybody got to sit and go, “What do I want to do to this? What’s my part? What’s My Role? How can I make it the best?"

The material - which sounds like "a mature version of Warpaint" - is lead out by a new song called, well, 'New Song'.
