War Child have announced a special series of music documentary screenings in London.
The charity will launch the War Child Rockumentary Film Festival series later this month, partnering with Everyman Cinemas to launch a number of screenings.
The series opens with Last Shop Standing, an analysis of the independent record shop, and it's importance in broader music culture.
Screened on October 25th at Everyman Screen On The Green, the event includes a panel discussion chaired by Matt Everitt (BBC 6Music) featuring Nigel House (Co-owner Rough Trade Stores), Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets & Radio X), Debbie Smith (Echobelly & Intoxica Records).
Al Doyle (LCD Soundsystem/Hot Chip) and Matt Everitt (BBC 6 Music) will then re-visit LCD Soundsystem's incredible documentary Shut Up And Play The Hits on October 26th, a chance to catch a genuinely wonderful film on the big screen.
Finally, Everyman Screen On The Green will show Upside Down: The Creation Records Story on November 1st, alongside a conversation between label boss Alan McGee and director Danny O'Connor.
