Wallice has shared new single ‘disappear’.
The alt-pop rebel’s new EP ‘Mr Big Shot’ lands on June 23rd, and she just completed a support date alongside The 1975 in Vienna. Finishing a run of UK headline shows, Wallice is already looking forwards to her Reading and Leeds slots.
Out now, new single ‘disappear’ opens with a lush, Radiohead-esque introductory passage, before moving into a more pop-punk centred direction. Punchy and dynamic, Wallice pours her heart into every note, before erupting into that seismic chorus.
Lyrically, it zeros in on the sense of stress that has come with her rise, before finding a way out of that position. Wallice explains…
“I wrote ‘disappear’ when I was in London last year with Callaghan Kevany and David Marinelli. It’s about being overwhelmed, and the stress that comes with feeling indecisive – sometimes you just have to give in to going with the flow. At a certain point, it’s the only way to live.”
Tune in now.
