Jakob Dylan, former leader of rootsy American groups The Wallflowers, is set to release his first solo record on July 14th it has been announced.
From somewhat humble beginnings – they were dropped by Virgin Records after a lacklustre debut album – The Wallflowers went on to become one of the most successful Americana acts of the 90s, culminating in the grammy award-winning “Bringing Down The Horse”.
With The Wallflowers currently on hiatus, Jakob Dylan has returned to his humble acoustic guitar to re-discover the fuel that first fired his creative flames. Recorded with Rick Rubin – the man responsible for resurrecting the career of the late Johnny Cash, amongst others – new album “Seeing Things” is full of raw and dynamic performances.
The latest work by a singular American talent, “Seeing Things” is due on July 14th.
