Jakob Dylan Turns Solo

Jakob Dylan, former leader of rootsy American groups The Wallflowers, is set to release his first solo record on July 14th it has been announced.

From somewhat humble beginnings - they were dropped by Virgin Records after a lacklustre debut album - The Wallflowers went on to become one of the most successful Americana acts of the 90s, culminating in the grammy award-winning "Bringing Down The Horse".

With The Wallflowers currently on hiatus, Jakob Dylan has returned to his humble acoustic guitar to re-discover the fuel that first fired his creative flames. Recorded with Rick Rubin - the man responsible for resurrecting the career of the late Johnny Cash, amongst others - new album "Seeing Things" is full of raw and dynamic performances.

The latest work by a singular American talent, "Seeing Things" is due on July 14th.
