Model and musician Wafah Dufour played her first UK gig last night, following recent album recording sessions in New York.
The newcomer has been widely known so far for her relation to Osama Bin Laden, however was reportedly ostracised from the Saudi dynasty as a child after her mother fled the Middle East to preserve her daughters’ rights to free thought.
The singer took to the stage at the London watering hole Old Blue Last, where she debuted new tracks such as ‘In The Mud’ and ‘Generator’, set for inclusion on her upcoming album.
The singer has also been linked to Atlantan noiseniks Black Lips recently, who have said they would love to record some music with the New York model and musician in the future. Guitarist Cole Alexander recently spoke of the hook-up, adding “she came to a show in New York and the came to see us in London. She’s a fan and has aspirations to be a musician.”
