Vraell’s ‘quattro’ Touches The Sublime

A beautiful piece of music...

London-based artist Vraell has shared his new single ‘quattro’.

The musician is rooted in the guitar but travels across multiple instruments, aiming for a feather-soft, perfume-gentle sense of beauty.

Building a unique catalogue of imaginative compositions, Vraell’s work has soared across streaming, gaining an audience of millions.

Lush new single ‘quattro’ spotlights his confidence – recorded in Glasgow alongside producer Paul Savage, it’s a beautiful daydream of a song.

There’s a continual feeling of rising and falling in his musicianship, and this links to the song’s broader themes. A story of personal evolution, ‘quattro’ longs for the sublime – Vraell comments…

this piece is about rebirth and renewal. It represents that little transformation we all look for. For me, it’s no different, and recently I have been drifting back to my Sicilian roots and trying to be proud of my heritage after years of trying to ignore it. That’s why I wanted to call it ‘Quattro’. I wanted to honour my mother tongue and what better way to do it than through a piece about rebirth?

Four has so many meanings and significance to us as humans. It represents symmetry, simplicity – and above else the wholeness of all things. There are four seasons, four weeks in a month, four points of the compass, and four phases of the moon.

As humans, it’s a very interconnected number to how we navigate everyday life, ourselves and the outside world. But it’s worth noting that this piece also does not mean finality, and rebirth takes a few times before each side of us falls into place. I think I need a lot more years before I have that feeling of wholeness, but this piece is the start, the realisation of our potential.

Tune in now.
