Viv Albertine Defaces Punk Exhibition

"What about the women!!"

Viv Albertine has defaced a panel at the British Library's punk exhibition.

The exhibition – titled Punk 1976-78 – closed on Friday (July 14th) with a conversation between Slits guitarist Viv Albertine and journalist Jon Savage.

After the discussion had finished, Viv Albertine seemingly took exception to a panel that named punk bands The Sex Pistols, The Clash, and Buzzcocks.

She wrote: "The Slits, X-Ray Spex, Siouxsie & the Banshees. (What about the women!!)" Some photos below…
