Vince Staples returns with 'Magic'.
The new single was produced by Mustard, and landed on Valentine's Day / February 14th.
While it's not exactly loved up, the lush sound harks back to his West Coast roots, and points the way for a future project.
New album 'Ramona Park Broke My Heart' is out in April, and there's seemingly a "correlation" between this project and his 2021 LP.
“It’s symbolic of home,” Staples says of the album’s title. “And everyone has a home. Even though it’s very personal to me, everyone can relate to it. That’s why I thought it would work for this chapter.”
Out now, 'Magic' is an infectious return, one steeped in a deep admiration for his roots.
It's part of a busy spell for the rapper, who hits the road for an American tour, including Coachella sets, alongside the release of his debut graphic novel: Limbo Beach via Z2 Comics.
Tune in now.
