Vince Clark Has Remixed HiFi Sean, David McAlmont

'Real Thoughts In Real Time' is reworked...

HiFi Sean and David McAlmont simply seem to connect. The Scottish producer has decades of experience across multiple genres, a sonic warrior who has walked an independent path from Day One. For his part, David McAlmont is simply one of the finest vocalists of his generation, a defining voice within UK soul.

Partnering one another on their fine ‘Happy Ending’ album, the pair delighted fans. So much more than a simple collaboration, it seemed to exist in its own space, a work with a singular sense of identity driven forwards by fresh-thinking, and some classic songwriting.

Sculpted at the top of an East London tower block and mixed in a beach hut on Camber Sands, sessions also utilised Bollywood strings recorded in a Bangalore sound studio.

A fine release, their song ‘Real Thoughts In Real Time’ became a standout moment, an exhilarating example of their creative partnership.

In a neat twist, legendary UK producer Vince Clarke has been recruited on remix duties. An artist with a glittering CV – Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure, and beyond – his deft electronic touch adds something totally different to the song.

Retaining the emotional pull of the original, Vince Clarke steers ‘Real Thoughts In Real Time’ in different directions, uncovering hitherto unexplored aspects in the musicality.

Now online in full, we’re able to share this fresh take on the song before anyone else – it’s an exhilarating, inspired experience.
