Villagers are set to release their second album {Awayland} through Domino on January 14th.
An example of expertly crafted songwriting, Villagers debut album 'Becoming A Jackal' was a thing of beauty. Justifiably lauded by fans and critics alike, the album gained a cult following and a nomination for the Mercury Music Prize. Returning to his native Ireland, songwriter Conan O'Brien set about producing a follow up.
Crafted in collaboration with Villagers’ guitarist Tommy McLaughlin, new album {Awayland} is set to be released on January 14th. Available on CD, vinyl and digital formats, the upcoming album is also due to be made available as a special limited 10” x 10” fabric cover hardback book with silver foil print, containing the album on CD with an exclusive DVD featuring five intimate live performances by Villagers recorded in Ireland.
