Viji Lands A Knockout Blow With ‘Anything’

And there's a cheeky new video, too...

Viji has shared her new single ‘Anything’.

Out now, the track capitalises on the buzz around the songwriter, who blends grunge and alt-pop tropes with a fresh pop perspective. Intermingling 90s nostalgia with 2k23 viewpoints, she’s about to hit the road alongside labelmates HighSchool.

New single ‘Anything’ is causing a ruckus, a fuzzy burner that builds to that emphatic chorus. Viji seems to continually propel herself forwards, relishing the challenges and knocking down the barriers.

The cheeky visuals highlight the Japanese art of ‘Nyotaimori’ – in essence, eating off a naked body.

Featuring a group of friends, it’s a fun, tongue-in-cheek counterpoint to her excellent songwriting.

Viji says…

“This song is another collaboration with producer Dan Carey. ‘Anything’ is about being someone’s fantasy. Playfully indulging in the gaze put on you. For me this represents my first love interest after a breakup, where I can indulge in how I want to be seen. The tension is being held with an uninterrupted strum of two guitars swaying through different melodies in 6/8.”

Tune in now.
