Victoria Monét has unveiled a festive offering, ‘A Jaguar II Christmas: The Orchestral Arrangements’, a cozy addendum to the ‘Jaguar’ era that began in 2020.
The eight-track collection features reimagined orchestral renditions of fan favourites from her Grammy-winning ‘Jaguar II’ album, like ‘On My Mama’ and ‘I’m The One’ combined with pantheon holiday classics. Think ‘Smoke’ and ‘Hollywood’ amalgamated with ‘Let It Snow’ and ‘Carol of the Bells’. Intended as a background accompaniment to the festive party season, these renditions are entirely instrumental and transportive.
Monét builds on the tradition of invoking the Christmas spirit with a little bit of soul, having released ‘A Jaguar Christmas’ during the pandemic. The EP featured reworked holiday versions of her hits ‘Moment’ and ‘We Might Be Falling In Love’, amongst others.
