Spanish-American singer and multi-instrumentalist Victoria Canal has today shared new single, ‘Chamomile’, via Parlophone.
The release follows last year’s ‘WELL WELL’ EP, and is a tender ode to mutual support systems and friendships, with the promise that Victoria will reciprocate her friend’s loyalty and practice a degree of self-love in the process.
Of ‘Chamomile’, Victoria shares: “I wrote ‘Chamomile’ about my best friend Lucy (Clearwater). When I’m struggling with my depression, she’s always there for me when I’m going through it. When I’m in that place, I feel this desire to one day be there for her in the same way; so this song was kind of a promise to her and to myself to always try.“
The accompanying video features Lucy, who will be supporting Victoria on her upcoming headline US tour which takes place this Spring and sees her play twelve shows including New York’s Mercury Lounge. Victoria also makes a stop at SXSW festival in Austin, and will return to the UK in May to play at Brighton’s The Great Escape festival.
