Vessna Scheff has shared new single ‘JAM’.
Out now, it comes ahead of her incoming album ‘Never Mind The Moon’. The project broadcasts her luxuriant soul vision in widescreen, matching those gorgeous vocals – leaning on neo-soul, R&B, and jazz – to a socially aware conscious.
The title is a reference to a quote from Questlove documentary Summer Of Soul, with Vessna commenting: “to say ‘never mind the moon’ implies the power and love that is found right here, right infront of us. We don’t ned to go anywhere to find that – it can be found right here”.
New single ‘JAM’ is aptly named, its dextrous flexibility aided by an elastic arrangement, powered by Philadelphia group Great Time. Sitting at the centre of it all, Vessna Scheff offers a fully three-dimensional vocal.
She comments: “they are such amazing humans and musicians – it was a beautiful process…”
