Vessel and Rakhi Singh collaborate on new 30 minute project 'Written In Fire'.
The Tri Angle aligned producer met Rakhi Singh while working on a piece for Immix Ensemble, and quickly developed a close creative bond.
New project 'Written In Fire' is a 30 minute long piece of continuous composition, arranged for string quartet and electronics.
The full piece will be available shortly, and it's intended as a response to Czech composer Leos Janacek’s second string quartet, entitled Intimate Letters.
Rather than a re-arrangement or re-contexualisation of the source piece, 'Written In Fire' is intended as a direct emotional piece to Janacek's work.
The first snippet is online now, and it's a daring fusion of modern classical techniques with left field electronics.
