U2 To Issue Rose Bowl DVD

Irish group's biggest ever US show

Irish rock giants U2 are to issue their record breaking concert at the Rose Bowl on DVD later this year.

U2 don’t do things by halves. Returning last year with their new album ‘No Line On The Horizon’ the band announced one of their most ambitious tours to date.

‘360 Degrees’ used an unusual stage structure, with U2 playing in the middle of a circular set up. An enormous claw towered over the band, allowing fans from every angle to catch a glimpse of their heroes.

Which of course meant more gate receipts. The band pulled into the Rose Bowl last year for the biggest North American date of their career, with U2 performing to well in excess of 97,000 people.

Streaming across the world via YouTube, the show is one of the largest U2 have ever undertaken. Gaining more than ten millions views in just one week, the concert was the first to be streamed live online via the web service.

Shot in HD with 27 different cameras, the new DVD captures the essence of the U2 live experience. Packed with hits, their set is wildly over the top yet remains gripping and entertaining throughout.

Available in standard and deluxe formats, ‘U2360° At The Rose Bowl’ allows fans to re-create the experience in their own home. The deluxe format of the DVD will feature a new documentary called ‘Squaring the Circle: Creating U2360°’ featuring contributions from U2 and their touring team.

‘U2360° At The Rose Bowl’ is available from June 7th.
