Irish rock giants U2 are currently streaming a number of new remixes, including the Justice reworking of recent single ‘Get On Your Boots’.
The suffering, the downtrodden and the oppressed take heart – U2 have returned to ease your pain! Yes, Bono’s shock troops will be coming to a town near you soon to promote their new album ‘No Line On The Horizon’.
The band’s first album in five years, the record was greeted with muted acclaim by critics. Sure, it was a thumping rock record but really, haven’t we heard this before? Not to worry though, as there was more than enough in ‘No Line On The Horizon’ to placate the average U2 fanatic, with Bono keen to take on the world’s ills with his lyrics.
But the group’s rock direction has been matched by a renewed interest in remixing. New single ‘Magnificent’ has been out through the ringer by the likes of Redanka, Fred Falke and Pete Tong – man so talented he has been enshrined in rhyming slang.
The remixes are currently streaming alongside the band’s new video, which can be previewed by clicking HERE!
In addition to this, U2 have just released a brand new double album. ‘U2 Medium, Rare And Remastered’ is a limited edition collection of rare and lost cuts from some of the group’s finest moments.
Amongst the recording sessions included are those that led to ‘The Joshua Tree’, ‘Rattle And Hum’, ‘All That You Cant Leave Behind’ and much more. Including digitally remastered early material alongside recent non-album material, the new record is only available to those who subscribe to U2’s official website.
U2 are also set to embark on their new world tour. Titled ‘No Line On The Horizon’ it is to support the album of the same name, and boasts cheap tickets and a massive claw. We guess you’ll just have to be there to understand…
U2’s new world tour begins in Barcelona next month.
