Irish superstars U2 are set to re-release their early tour film “Live At Red Rocks” on DVD on September 29th, it has been announced.
The band had just released their third album “War” and were mid way through a US tour when the film was recorded. U2 performed an incendiary concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, playing the bulk of their early material. The performance was the first sign that the band could break America, with their vast sound perfect for the nation’s stadium sized venues.
The film also spawned a live album “Under A Blood Red Sky”, which will also be re-issued.
U2 will re-issue “Live At Red Rocks” in both a deluxe and ordinary edition on September 29th.
