Imagine you get handed the keys to your very own festival, booked one of the world's biggest artists, and the crowds respond by… booing.
That's precisely the position Tyler, the Creator found himself in at Camp Flog Gnaw over the weekend.
Drake was booked as special guest headliner, and elements of the crowd – who evidently convinced themselves Frank Ocean would guest – began jeering.
Eventually it grew to be too much, and Drake pulled the set early, causing headlines across the music world in the process.
Firing up Twitter, Tyler labelled it "cancel culture in real life" before adding that the situation was "fucking trash…"
Here's the low-down:
I THOUGHT BRINGING ONE OF THE BIGGEST ARTIST ON THE FUCKING PLANET TO A MUSIC FESTIVAL WAS FIRE! BUT FLIPSIDE, A LIL TONE DEAF KNOWING THE SPECIFIC CROWD IT DREW. SOME CREATED A NARRATIVE IN THEIR HEAD AND ACTED OUT LIKE ASSHOLES WHEN IT DIDNT COME TRUE AND I DONT FUCK WITH THAT
