Tyler Pope Details New EP ‘Pay Attention To The Bass’

A return to solo duties...

LCD Soundsystem musician Tyler Pope returns to solo duties with new EP ‘Pay Attention To The Bass’.

Out on November 10th, it’s his first solo project in 12 months, and emerges on November 10th. The release will be handled by Interference Pattern, the label for exploratory electronics he established in 2018, and helms from his base in Berlin.

A deft four-tracker, ‘Pay Attention To The Bass’ launches with the elastic machine funk of ‘OKay’, with its neck-snapping bassline and neat use of melody.

The percussive tick sits somewhere between post-punk ethos and Berlin’s techno heartbeat, a party-starting aura that recalls those early DFA remixes in its sonic directness and willingness to explore.

Out now, it’s backed by some simple yet eye-catching visuals – tune in now.
