South London newcomer Twyce has shared his brand new freestyle ‘My Name’s Twyce’.
Weaving between straight-to-the-point punchlines and dynamic flows, the rapper glides over a rich, jersey club production. Arriving alongside slick visuals directed by Benji Beacham, the track flexes Twyce’s playful lyricism, running through flashes of introspection and future aspirations.
Stumbling upon his love for music at the age of nine, the Nigeria-born, London-raised artist has been putting in the practice hours, drawing from a broad pool of influences ranging between Busta Rhymes to Jme and Devlin.
‘My Name’s Twyce’ gives a nod to these foundations, hinting towards the riser’s next steps. Having previously worked alongside game-changing producer TSB, the artist continues to marry the grit of drill with club-adjacent tempos, re-defining the boundaries of UK Rap once more.
Speaking on the track, Twyce assures: “I’m here to stay, I’m not just a gimmick. My names Twyce but I come first.”
