Alphabeat Snub Spice Girls

Danish pop titans Alphabeat shocked The Spice Girls by turning down a lucrative support slot, it has been announced.

Alphabeat turned down a support slot for the Spice Girls world tour last year, as they didn’t wish to be associated with them, wanting instead to be introduced free from other connotations.

They just wanted people to ‘get who they were’ from the beginning instead of tarring them with the same brush as the Spice Girls, protesting that they “write their own songs and play live.”

Sounds crazy, as turning down the tour, meant missing out of playing sell out gigs at Wembley Stadium, surely every bands dream venue and crowd. But the band states they wanted to do things their own way in small steps.
