Julee Cruise has died at the age of 65.
The American artist was responsible for 'Falling', which became closely entwined with the series Twin Peaks.
A number one song in Australia during 1991, her performance of 'Falling' in the series came at a pivotal moment.

In all, Iowa born Julee Cruise released four studio albums, the latest of which – 'My Secret Life' – came in 2011.
Diagnosed with the autoimmune disease systemic lupus, Julee Cruise underwent extensive treatment for the condition, which affected her ability to walk and stand.
News of her death was confirmed in an official statement a few moments ago.
