Twilight Sad Single, Tour Dates

Third album approaching

The Twilight Sad have confirmed plans for a new single ahead of their nationwide tour.

The Twilight Sad are known for making a certain type of music. Live, the sheer volume of the group blurs the sonics into one, overwhelming document which seems to hint at a tremendous inner turmoil.

Now the Scottish group have decided to throw out all previous templates. Andrew Weatherall has been installed as ‘anti-producer’ for new recording sessions, which have taken on an electronic tone.

Free download ‘Kill It In The Morning’ gave an indication of what to expect. Recognisably dark, the band’s trademark sound was suddenly infused with degraded electronics which brought to mind Cabaret Voltaire or The Cure.

New single ‘Sick’ is set to follow in the same vein. Due for release on November 14th, the track continues the electronic direction without surrendering the sound and identity of The Twilight Sad.

Fat Cat will once again handle the release, with ‘Sick’ available on seven inch vinyl and as a digital download.

Announcing plans for a national tour, The Twilight Sad will preview new material on a series of dates. Opening in Dundee on November 13th, the tour shifts around Scotland before moving South.

Hitting London on November 21st, the band will play the Borderline venue before moving back out to the provinces. Finishing in Stirling, the tour represents the first opportunity fans will have to catch third album ‘No One Can Ever Know’ live in the flesh.

The Twilight Sad are set to play the following shows:

November
13 Dundee Doghouse
14 Aberdeen Tunnels
15 Inverness Ironworks
16 Edinburgh Bongo Club
18 Glasgow Nice N Sleazys
19 Preston Mad Ferret
20 York Duchess
