This year's race to the White House has supplied one of the most fractious, divisive Presidential elections in the history of the United States.
Musicians were initially largely split between Sanders and Clinton, with only a few outliers declaring their support for Republican candidate Donald Trump.
When the race came down to the wire, a host of top artists went out on the campaign trail, with Bruce Springsteen and Lady Gaga supporting Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton every step of the way.

Sadly, it wasn't to be. Donald Trump has edged his way out in front, and will become the next President of the United States. Clearly, this is shattering news, and musicians are only just beginning to react. Feeling a little colder, a little more alone this morning? Well, you're not the only one.
