Linking up once more with Seb Wildblood’s label All My Thoughts, new single ‘Scattering’ finds the musician – now based in LA – re-engaging with his craft on an intimate level.
Fragmented aspects of house lead to skittering electronic abstraction, while the dreamy reverb smothers the key parts in a beatific, sunset feel. ‘Scattering’ takes on hues of James Blake, while also steering towards the unknown.
Embracing an individual path, Tropics opens a new chapter in his work with a degree of confidence, and a sound sense of exploration.
