Oxford based newcomers Trophy Wife have added extra dates to their upcoming tour.
The Oxford math rock scene continues to produce the goods. After Edmund Fitzgerald, YouthMovies and Foals come Trophy Wife, whose debut single ‘Microlite’ has become a near instant indie classic.
Out now on Moshi Moshi, the single mixes jagged math rock guitars with sighing vocals and a palpable sense of melancholy. One of the finest debut singles of the year, ‘Microlite’ is math rock with a heart.
With hype beginning to submerge the trio, Trophy Wife has left the rehearsal room behind for a British tour. Announcing a series of shows, the band recently made their London debut taking a fellow Oxford group in tow.
Receiving critical acclaim the sold out show only served to fuel hype. Returning to London on November 26th and December 5th, the venues the band are playing are slowly moving up in capacity.
