Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has criticised the organisers of Reading and Leeds festival.
Trent Reznor isn't a man to be trifled with. Onstage, the Nine Inch Nails frontman channels some intense forces, generating an imposing, intimidating persona. Deeply independent, the Industrial godhead doesn't hold back when he feels that his music is being intruded upon.
Set to perform at Reading and Leeds with Nine Inch Nails, impositions placed on him by organisers resulted in some very public criticism over the weekend. Writing on Twitter, Trent Reznor said: "Should be an unusual show tonight at Reading… the lying promoter and the band (Biffy Clyro) following us (whoever the fuck they are) fucked us on our production."

For his part, Reading and Leeds promoter Melvin Benn responded almost immediately: "The truth is there's no truth in the statement. The contract hasn't changed since they signed up to it."
Asked if Trent Reznor was simply annoyed at being followed by a band he probably wasn't familiar with, Melvin Benn replied: "I couldn't possibly comment." (via NME)
