Treetop Flyers Hit Blissful High Notes On ‘Needle’

It's a soul-tinged return from the much-loved Londoners...

Treetop Flyers know they wanted to take control.

After two superb albums the London band opted to remain in the capital as they chipped away at their third full length, a terrific fusion of blissful Americana and soulful flourishes.

Working at East London space The Cube, Treetop Flyers had the time and resources to stretch out a little, to try new things.

Self-titled, the group's new album arrives on August 24th, and comes as they prepare for a flurry of UK festivals.

We're able to share new song 'Needle', a bold, vivid return, one that finds Treetop Flyers pushing themselves further and further.

The band's Reid Morrison explains…

“I had just got out the shower and I was listening to an old Ted Hawkins record. I lost track of what I was doing and heard this noise, I couldn't work out what it was but it sounded like the best drum sound I'd ever heard… with the old school hiss and everything. I thought my flatmates were playing a tune or something. I then remembered I had put the record on and the record had reached the end but had this perfect loop.”

Tune in now.
