Treanne Announces Debut EP ’20/20′

Listen to new single, 'Sharing My Body'...

Kansas City artist Treanne will release her debut EP ’20/20′ on May 10th via Young, the famed imprint home to Sampha, The xx, FKA twigs, Kamasi Washington.

With news of the EP comes bruised piano ballad ‘Sharing My Body’, a searing lamentation on romantic discord and the insecurities it breeds. Of the inspiration behind the release, Treanne explains, “this song is about the feeling of betraying yourself at the hands of another person. I was mad about the situationship I was in. I was mad that he felt the need to check up on me, then disappear. I was mad that he wanted to sext but not actually talk. It’s about not knowing when to give up because sometimes the pain can feel like love too.”

Last month Treanne shared the first single, ‘Please’, from her forthcoming EP, which “explores the transition from adolescence into adulthood, and the realization of all the ways that life can hurt you”.

Treanne will join label mate Sampha on his upcoming tour across America, which kicked off in Miami on March 26th, and will culminate in Salt Lake City on April 9th.
