Production team TRAKA have launched new album ‘Monstas’.
The studio project have built two stellar albums, designed to connect the dots between disparate aspects of club culture. Out on August 25th, ‘Monstas’ completes a trilogy of full length works, and it goes hard from the off.
Delving into bass abstraction, the Brutalist production carries the heft of The Bug, while adding something dynamic, and up-front. The guest list is unreal, matching their ultra-heavy production work to some stellar MCs, who represent varying layers and generations of system music.
Riko Dan and Killa P feature on the record, while Warrior Queen voices fantastic lead track ‘Monstas’. Opening with ominous electronic ambience, these wisps of sound coalesce into a nightmarish vision of warped ragga, while Warrior Queen’s venomous flow asserts itself against TRAKA’s production.
Delving into the jungle playbook, ‘Monstas’ is a ferocious introduction to the upcoming album.
