…And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead have completed work on their new album.
Erupting out of Texas, …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead released a series of seismic art rock records. However during the Noughties the band seemed to lose their way, clouded by major label demands.
Turning independent in 2007, Trail of Dead seemed to recapture some of that early energy. Returning last year with their album ‘Century Of Self’ the band seemed to prove that they shouldn’t be written off.
Launching themselves into a series of creative projects, the band began working on new material this summer. Singer Conrad Keely posted news of ongoing sessions, with plans to release a comic book.
Due to be the visual accompaniment of the album, the comic has yet to be completed. However the album is being mastered, followed extensive recording sessions with Chris “Frenchie” Smith.
Now the band have confirmed a date for the new album. Titled ‘Tao Of The Dead’ the record will be released in North America on February 8th. The album will be handled by the band’s own Richter Scale imprint, while a European release will be overseen by Superball Music.
‘Tao Of The Dead’ will be released in Europe on February 7th, with a single preceding it later this month. Breaking cover, Trail Of Dead will release ‘Summer Of All Dead Souls’ on November 29th.
Meanwhile, the band have also confirmed news of a Spring tour. Trail of Dead are close to announcing the entire run of dates, but have revealed that they will tour across Europe and North America.
A co-headlining run with Rival Schools, Trail of Dead will preview material from ‘Tao Of The Dead’ on the Spring shows.
