Well, this prediction isn't so bold: Hotel Lux are set to make some thrilling noises in 2018.
Emering from the south coast's seething guitar underground, their live shows have been belching, shrieking their way across the capital for the past 18 months.
It's been a thrilling, unpredictable ride. Opening the New Year with brooding new single 'The Last Hangman', it's a literate, seething return from a vital force.
On the flip fans can find new cut 'Pulp', and it matches those leering Spaghetti Western guitars to a biting vocal and a sample of a reading from cult author Charles Bukowski.
A blast again the rigours of routine, it's an intense and oddly inspiring listen. The band explain…
"The tune is probably the second we ever wrote and its probably our only song that touches more on the spoken word aspect that we were big on early doors. Lyrically it's inspired by William Burroughs' cut-up technique. At the point the song was written I was bang into all those scummy American writers from the 50s/60s and then later on with Bukowski. Hence the sample."
The Edie Lawrence crafted visuals pick up on that line "moulded and moulded into what you're supposed to be…" and deliver some claymation thrills…
