Track of the Day 8/10: Los Campesinos!

Get a taste of their new record here

Take two albums into the end-of-year equation? Most bands would run a mile at the suggestion, but most bands are not Los Campesinos!.

The indie-pop seven-piece graced the stages of many a festival this summer, all the while plotting the release of ‘We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed’, the follow-up to February’s ‘Hold On Now, Youngster’ debut. Los Camp!’s latest isn’t being seen as an album as such by the band – more a recorded document of where they are, now – but to outsiders looking in: it’s album two.

Released on October 27, ‘We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed’ comes with a bonus DVD – value for your money, there – featuring live footage from some of those aforementioned fests. Me, I got mucky with the band at Green Man. We were all winners.

Here, ClashMusic.com presents a special stream of the record’s title track, to give fans and newcomers alike a taste of one of the country’s most exciting bands to emerge as a potent force in 2008. If you like what you hear, catch Los Camp! live this month, headlining the Shred Yr Face tour (learn more) with support from No Age and Times New Viking. Look for future Tracks of the Day from both supporting acts, soon.
