In just a few years Whinnie Williams has become a fashion darling, a sought after DJ, and written for Madonna.
Some young artists would get carried away with that list of achievements, but not Whinne – deep down, she's just a girl from Broxbourne.
It's this steadfastness, this down-to-Earth nature that makes her so beguiling. She's the girl next door, the sort of person you could find yourself chatting to down the shops – except remarkably talented.
New single 'Real Damn Bad' was co-written with powerhouse producers Future Cut, and it focusses on that point of a break up when you simply stop caring, and want to throw off your inhibitions.
Whinne explains: "'Real Damn Bad' was written after a break up, Its a freedom song. It's about feeling vulnerable and broken but owning that vulnerability and going out and finding yourself again."
Check it out now.
'Real Damn Bad' will be released on August 19th.
