Chicago trio Pit Er Pat will soon be soothing British ears with their singular spin on ambitious indie-rock, incorporating as they do jazz inflections and boundless compositional nous that has them bracketed ‘experimental’ in quarters yet to fully appreciate their pop sensibilities.
Because the band have a heart of the purest pop – strip away the layers and there’s an instantaneousness that one might not immediately associated with a band hailing from the progressive waters of the Chicago indie scene. One listen to our Track of the Day should set any misconceptions straight, albeit via a remix courtesy of Lucky Dragons.
