Etienne Jaumet, otherwise known as one half of Zombie Zombie, supplies today’s track, ‘Entropy’, taken from his Carl Craig mixed album ‘Night Music’.
While the album kicks off with the aptly named twenty minute audio trip, ‘For Falling Asleep’, today’s track of the day is the more time conscious ‘Entropy’.
A perfect calling card for the album, it’s languid pace, buzzing, bleeping accompaniment and ominous ever building synth sweeps invoking those classic John Carpenter soundtracks, ‘Escape From New York’ et al.
It’s a perfect Winter album for those digitally inclined, never mind acoustic guitars and hushed vocals, give me a trip through the cosmos any day.
