South London newcomer Vincent Frank is presently turning plenty of heads with his releases under the Frankmusik guise, last year’s ‘3 Little Words’ encouraging critics to select him as a one to watch in 2009.
And the man’s next single (well, first single ‘proper’ give the last one’s limited release), ‘Better Off As Two’, is set to be a much bigger hit, with its wonderfully retro synth sounds gliding in atop some heart-on-sleeve lyricism. Take a pinch of the ‘80s, a little emo (seriously?), and a lot of charm and BANG: Frankmusik.
‘Better Off As Two’ is released next Monday, April 13, and precedes Frankmusik’s debut album ‘Complete Me’, due in the summer. The purest pop for the most broken of hearts, it’s the type of single that’ll have you skipping joyously to its backbeat but full of reflection once the words are assessed.
