Kita Alexander came of age in the outback, in the scorching heat of Australia.
There's a sense of permanent sunshine in her music, in the sharply defined melody and unrushed tone. Alongside this, though, are dark shadows cast by setting orbs, a slight sense of dis-quiet, of melancholy.
Featured on a Kitsune compilation earlier this year the Australian singer is now beginning to make her mark on Europe.
New cut 'Like You Want To' is set to feature on a forthcoming EP, with Kita explaining: "I wrote 'Like You Want To', November last year in LA with one of my favourite producers Ben Romans . It's a song about speaking your mind and being comfortable with the person you're with".
